Being in the heart of the Austrian Alps it goes without saying, that the Silberregion Karwendel offers ideal mountainbiking conditions along with absolutely stunning views and, thanks to it still being a bit of an insider tip, unspoilt landscapes.
There is an excellent marked trail network of 42 routes (covering approx. 1000km and 40,000m elevation gain) for all skill levels, from well maintained forest roads to demanding single trail as well as a variety of parks and downhill tracks.
For those who don't want to go off and explore on their own, there are guided tours or camps available as well as local guides who are happy to show you the best rides!
Weerberg itself is extremely well positioned for direct access to this fantastic playground. In the unlikely event that the "local mountains" are not enough, there are lots of other places to explore within a max. 20 min drive. Not without reason, the village has been a stopover in the Trans Alp Challenge for 3 times!
With a variety of accomodation, from self-catering flats and cabins to B&Bs, guest houses and a five star wellness hotel, and prices starting from as little as EUR 25, Weerberg is able to cater for every pocket.
get inspired... (not quite your typical ride in the Karwendel)
